Recognizing outstanding talent in the Latin music industry

THE TASK

Historically, the Latin Recording Academy has announced the Latin GRAMMY nominees through a formal press release sent to the media and recording companies. In this project, we were called to reimagine the announcement for 2022 as a social media-first, engaging event.

CHALLENGE

A very short timeframe for the nominations to be ready and announced, a highly complex production schedule for artists, presenters, and celebrities, and a tight production budget.

SOLUTION

We developed a virtual stage using Unreal Engine technology and recorded Latin artists on a green screen in our studio and in other locations, including Camilo and Nicky Jam. We also coordinated and supervised remote production with other artists that could not travel to Miami. We then integrated all the footage into a seamless one-hour show that was streamed live on YouTube, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
